Peking University-Hong Kong Polytechnic University China Social Work Research Centre (CSWRC) is going to host a lecture From the perspective of NGOs: Exploration on Improving Educational Quality of Migrant Children in the afternoon of December 18th.

 

With the development of urbanization in China, the number of migrant people is growing continuously. Till the year of 2010, the number of migrant people has reached 261.39 million, with 35.81 million migrant children aged 0-17. What educational problems does this group of children face? Where are their futures? We are honored to have Mr. LIN Zhaoxing, Executive Director of the New Citizen Program to give a presentation. Mr. Lin will share his view on migrant childrens education and what actions the Program has taken to improve the educational environment for migrant children.

 

CSWRC is willing to provide a platform for openly communication and knowledge exchange among participants. All the social work teachers, students, practitioners at NGOs and social workers are welcome.
